Strategic project for EU objectives

A project aligned with the European Alliance for Innovation in Raw Materials, in policies, actions with the S3 platform for industrial modernization "Mining regions and global value chains", and that will generate innovative technologies, processes and products, finding collaboration at the EU level and spreading the knowledge within the actions undertaken by the European Institute of Technology and the KIC Raw Materials.

The European Commission has selected this project in 2021 as strategic to receive its support within the TAF program "Technical Assistance Facility for Industrial Modernization and Investment", opening the doors to participate in other European programs that include different types of funds and development aid.

IHO participates in VALOMINE, a project for the circular use of waste from the process plant with the aim of generating new fire-resistant construction materials, giving the extracted materials circularity. Project financed by the EU by EU MINE.THE.GAP funds under Grand Agreement No. 873149.

IHO has obtained approval for the I4 Green industrial innovation project, (Interregional investment for the sustainable supply of raw materials in the EU Green Energy Transition) for the recovery of strategic materials in the rejects of the production chain. This project intends to create an economically viable process that manages to separate the different REE elements contained in the rejects of the iron production process. Project financed by the EU by the I3-2021-INV2a-GREEN funds of the EUROPEAN INNOVATION COUNCIL AND SMEs EXECUTIVE AGENCY (EISMEA), under Grand Agreement No. 101084028.
